I offer a range of author services including:
A Reading and Appraisal Service
Submit your first 3 chapters (up to 15,000 words) and synopsis for approx 1,000 word report on strengths and areas to work on including genre, plot, characterisation and stylistic options. Adult and teen fiction.
Cost: £100 flat rate fee
Why use this service?
Agents and publishers are inundated with manuscripts and don't have the time to offer feedback when they reject a piece of work, even if the work is almost to a publishable standard.
As a published author and creative writing tutor, I am armed with the practical editorial skills to help unpublished authors hone their work to its maximum potential, thereby enhancing the chances of attracting an agent or publisher.
Talks and Workshops
A qualified teacher and creative writing tutor with significant experience of working with young people, I offer author talks and writing workshops to schools, libraries and youth groups, as well as to adult audiences.
Cost: Society of Authors’ recommended rate for a day or half-day.
Writing Mentor
